Assignment: Animation for the Creative Industries
For this module 'Animation for the Creative Industries', we were introduced to a studio guided project. This assignment was access to us to give us an insight into a studio's professional process and workplace. This is a chance to expand skills as well as developing new ones while acting if one is actually professional working for a studio.
I was assigned to a company called, 'Boomclap play ltd' with five other students (Bethany, Daisey, Emma, Morgan and Natalie).
At the start, we were given the draft script & a brief PowerPoint of what the studio was working on so far and this helped us to recognise what type of animation we were going toward. It states that we are to assist them to create a 10min short with the use of both 3D and 2D animation. This was delightful to know as the concept focus a lot on the visual aspect which ties close to my interest which is concept art.
To begin, we emailed the studio to organise a meeting to talk over this in person.
